On the morning of July 9, 2025, a section of the Gambhira bridge in Gujarat’s western region collapsed. The bridge, constructed in 1985 and linking the Anand and Vadodara districts, gave way at around 7:30 am. As a result, several vehicles—including trucks, a van, a car, and motorcycles—plunged into the Mahisagar River below.
