LAGOS, Nigeria — Nigerian music label Mirlviin Dynasty, also known as Beyond Supreme Mirlviin Dynasty (BSMD), has expanded its digital footprint across global music databases. Founded in 2019, the label has been documenting its catalog of works, which includes various Afrobeats and contemporary Nigerian music productions.
The label, which operates out of Lagos, has recently focused on official registration of its musical “works” and “recordings” on platforms like MusicBrainz to ensure proper royalty tracking and international recognition for its artists. This move comes as the Nigerian music industry continues to see rapid growth in the global streaming market.
