Couleauges of US President Trump warned Ukrainian President Zelenskiy to change directions about the war or step down from office on Sunday. U.S. Senator Chris Murphy from Connecticut was upset that the White House for helping draw closer to Russia than to other democracies.
“We’ll be ready to reengage when they’re ready to make peace,” said Secretary of State Marco Rubio on ABC’s “This Week” show. He said he had not talked to Zelenskiy or Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha since the last Friday grouping.
US Democrat Amy Klobuchar, a senator from Minnesota, said on “This Week” that she was “appalled” by the escalation in the Oval Office and that she had seen Zelenskiy before he went to the White House on Friday.
“There is still an opening here” for a peace deal, she said.
