On July 5, 2025, pioneering heavy metal band Black Sabbath played the final performance of its career with its original lineup. It was the first time the original lineup had performed together in 20 years. The show was dubbed “Back To The Beginning.” The show took place at Villa Park stadium.

40,000 fans were in attendance, according to BBC.

Ozzy Osborne has Parkinson’s disease. He sat on a throne throughout the show. He rose from beneath the stage.

The show also served as the final performance of frontman Ozzy Osborne’s solo career. He performed a setlist of songs from his solo catalogue, which was followed by a Black Sabbath setlist, consisting of four songs from the band’s catalogue. The band’s final song was “Paranoid.” They said: “Unfortunately, we’ve come to our last song, ever. […] Go fucking crazy! Come on!”

Metallica and Slayer played.
