Indian Women’s Cricket Team Captain Harmanpreet Kaur has reached a significant milestone, becoming the first Indian woman to play 200 T20 International matches. This historic achievement occurred during the Women’s T20 World Cup match against South Africa.
Speaking before the match, Kaur explained the decision to bat first, stating, “We wanted to bat first. The wicket is good, and if we bat first, we can get a good result that will help us win the game. The important thing is to spend some time in the middle and then take the game forward.”
Reflecting on her career milestone, Kaur shared, “200 games, to be honest, it has been a great journey. I never thought I would come this far, but I think God has been kind, and I am grateful to him, my family, my friends, the BCCI, and all my teammates. They have all been really supportive.”
The captain also addressed team changes: “Shreyanka is not playing due to injury. Prema will debut in her place. There is one more change. Kranti is resting today. Arundhati will play.”
