NASA has announced the crew members selected for the Artemis III mission, marking a significant step towards returning humans to the Moon. The selected astronauts are NASA astronauts Andre Douglas, Randy Bresnik, and Frank Rubio, alongside European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut Luca Parmitano. The four astronauts were photographed together on June 9, 2026.
The Artemis III mission, which will operate in Earth orbit, is designed to test integrated operations involving the Orion spacecraft and one or both commercial landers from SpaceX and Blue Origin. This mission aims to pave the way for future lunar surface expeditions.
